Clyde Best became the first Black football superstar of the modern TV era, changing the game in England and beyond forever.
Through rare archival footage, emotional firsthand testimony, and a global perspective spanning England, Bermuda, and North America, the film captures the courage of a pioneer who shattered ceilings and opened doors for generations that followed.
The film features in-depth interviews with some of football’s most respected voices and trailblazers, including Ian Wright, Geoff Hurst, Viv Anderson, Garth Crooks, Rodney Marsh, Howard Gayle, and Harry Redknapp. The story is further strengthened by powerful contributions from Randy Horton, Bobby Barnes, Patrick Horne, Carlton Cole, Paul Davis, Ade Coker, and Kasey Keller, along with Clyde Best himself and many others whose voices shaped this historic journey.
Following sold-out premieres and overwhelming community support, Transforming the Beautiful Game: The Clyde Best Story returns to Bermuda for a special Encore Tour featuring community screenings and conversations celebrating Clyde Best's remarkable legacy.
